Assessment Support

COUNTDOWN movie titles have been matched to specific CPS Mathematics Benchmark Assessment: Winter, 2006 questions to maximize the effectiveness of the Benchmark data shared at the school level. Each of the files listed below contains a table that allows teachers to easily identify video instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.

Classroom Level Support

Teachers can use this table to find short videos to target instruction consistent with the results from the CPS Benchmarks: Winter, 2006. For example, Teacher in Room 201 of School X studies the class performance data to determine the most productive review schedule. Only 14% of her 6th grade class correctly answered questions #15, 20, and 24. She will begin her ISAT review with the COUNTDOWN videos associated with each question.

Individual Student Level Support

Using the item analysis for each student, an individualized tutoring program can be developed. For example, Maria A. scored 56.2%. She missed items 3, 7, 8, 10, 13, 15, 20, 23 and 25. She will be directed to the COUNTDOWN videos associated with each question.
